Masterclass zur «Vibra-Signe» Technik mit Choreograf Yaya Sanou

Choreograf Yaya Sanou betrachtet Gebärdensprache als eine eigenständige künstlerische Ausdrucksform. Die Bewegungen von Händen, Gesicht und ganzen Körper erinnern an die Ästhetik des Tanzes. Dies inspirierte ihn dazu, die Technik «Vibra-Signe» zu entwickeln, die es Menschen mit Behinderungen ermöglicht, zum Rhythmus der Musik zu tanzen – auch ohne sie hören zu können.

In dieser Masterclass wendet Yaya Sanou die «Vibra-Signe»-Technik an, um die Teilnehmer*innen an traditionelle burkinische Tänze sowie an afro-kontemporären Tanz heranzuführen. Dabei lässt er sich von den Bewegungen der Tänze der Bobo, Peulh, Gourissi und Djanssa inspirieren.

Diese Masterclass findet im Rahmen von PROFI4PROFI statt, eine Reihe, die sich an professionelle Kulturschaffende richtet und vom SHT und der Dampfzentrale Bern angeboten wird.

Teilnahmekosten für die Masterclass: CHF 20.– pro Person (kostenlos für Menschen mit Aufenthaltsbewilligungen S, N, F oder Personen ohne geregelten Aufenthaltsstatus). Die Anzahl Plätze ist beschränkt.

Yaya Sanou wird am Donnerstag, 13. und Freitag, 14.11.2025, mit seiner Compagnie Fientan mit der Tanzperformance «Adepte de mon être» im SHT zu sehen sein.

Masterclass on the «Vibra-Signe» Technique with Choreographer Yaya Sanou

Yaya Sanou regards sign language as an independent artistic form of expression. The movements of the hands, the face, and the whole body recall the aesthetics of dance. This inspired him to develop the «Vibra-Signe» technique, which enables people with disabilities to dance to the rhythm of music — without hearing it.

In this workshop, Yaya applies the «Vibra-Signe» technique to introduce participants to traditional Burkinabe dance as well as Afro-contemporary dance, drawing inspiration from the movements of the Bobo, Peulh, Gourissi, and Djanssa dances.

Yaya Sanou will be performing with his company Fientan on Thursday, 13th, and Friday, 14th November 2025, presenting the dance performance «Adepte de mon être» at SHT.
